She wants for nothing, always having the funds for whatever new gadget or book or tool she wants. But she’s also a very sheltered young woman; her parents, paranoid after a previous child died young, have barely let her do anything even after turning 18 and now going on 19. A gilded cage is still a cage. Rebel Impulse is one of those few ways to see beyond the bars of that cage. In the form of “Ellen Mag”, she gets to see a whole world, to do things and make things without being held back by her parents - a way to feel like she’s actually getting to experience life. Her coddled upbringing is the driving force of her desire to explore every little nook and cranny of the world and it’s systems; honestly, it’s maybe a bit of a concerning obsession. Ellen Mag’s personally-drawn maps (rather than using the game auto-mapper) are of some minor note in the community.
